How long does the hapkido belt ranking system take? - belt ranking system hapkido

Is it possible to predict how long it would take to go from a white belt with a black belt in Hapkido? I know that different schools may be more, but I love your quote on your experience. Thank you =)

A lot depends on how often you go to class, and also how often your school has belt tests. I have been practicing at Universal matrial Arts in Houston since December 2008. I attend 3-4 classes a week, belt tests seem to run every 3-4 months. I am currently a green/black stripe. At this pace I would expect the total time to become a black belt at 2 1/2 years. The biggest wild card is the black belt test itself. Your master has to feel you are ready to test and there is no time frame on how long you may have to wait. please keep in mind that as a black belt you only have all the fundamentals. Its after you acheve black belt that the more detailed training begins. hapkido is more of a lifestyle rather than a belt.

depends
1. how often you train,
2. As you can
3. What is your teacher
4. What happens in your life
5. Things that are beyond their control.

Where is the Kung-Fu Karate / Aikido, starting at 3 / 5 years, but always a diploma is not Dan. You should feel and do not believe that, if you know what I mean. - Is responsible for their reactions to a given situation to take, you should not think about what to do - you just do it.

There is absolutely no prediction is yours. Is it possible that the belt for 4 years back, but it also could take back 40 years. All this depends on:

1. Commitment
2. Knowledge that they are already helping to
3. trust
4. because of the practice (including commitments)
